Finished up Godspell last night and went to two drama parties--one held by my co-director for Psychosis (who is graduating this year and held this as a "everyone from all shows" party) and the afterparty for Godspell. Fun stuff. The end of shows always makes me a bit sad, because it's a group of people you know will never come together again, and often here you end up really starting to get to know people only as the show closes. But good fun.
This week is revision week, though my first exam isn't until the 21st, so I have about two weeks to study for 3 tests...or to read, surf the internet, tie up loose ends, and watch films! Also good time to buckle down and figure out what's going on this summer...any suggestions of interesting internships/jobs/experiences?

spattered from on high by the seagulls
that freewheeled and caw-cawed through aharsh pink sky

a motionless oasis
in violence, silent. calm,
but eagerly longing for discovery:

no whitewashed walls
a monument TO MAN’S INGENUITY
no pyramids of the metropolis
only the loving work of boys
somewhere between testament and confession

spray themselves out on other adult property

You'll have the best chance of doing something interesting for the summer if you volunteer. Start by writing a 1 page resume that sells your skills using a functional resume format (overview), (sample). Then look up interesting/relevant organizations and send it to them indicating your interest in volunteering from X to Y dates, with an email or phone followup. Do web searches for places to send it to (e.g. key words=sustainable development los angeles). Also environmental organizations would be good, like Heal the Bay, LA Audubon (I know someone there), Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy, etc. Anyone else out there have contacts???
